What is it?

Around 1 in 9 adults aged 65 and older experience memory loss severe enough to interfere with daily life.
Mental health issues are 3 to 4 times more in patients suffering from memory issues
>30% suffer from depression, which further adds to patients burden
How to identify?
Emotional signs –
• Frustration or embarrassment over forgetfulness
• Anxiety about declining mental sharpness
• Mood changes due to confusion or perceived failure
Physical signs –
• Poor sleep, fatigue, or sluggishness affecting memory
• Difficulty completing familiar tasks due to lapses
• Slower information processing
Behavioural signs –
• Frequently losing items or missing appointments
• Repeating questions or stories
• Avoiding mentally demanding tasks
Cognitive signs –
• Forgetting names, dates, or recent conversations
• Difficulty concentrating or learning new things
