What is it?
Caregiver burden refers to the physical, emotional, and mental stress and exhaustion experienced by individuals who care for someone with chronic illness, disability, mental health conditions, or age-related decline. While caregiving can be meaningful, it often becomes overwhelming—especially when support is lacking or the caregiver neglects their own health and well-being. This leads to unpleasant expression of emotion on friends and family which disturbs relations.
