What is it?
Personality and impulse control issues involve persistent patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving that deviate from cultural expectations and interfere with personal, social, and occupational functioning. Impulse control problems specifically relate to difficulty in resisting urges or temptations that may be harmful. These issues can range from chronic anger outbursts and reckless behaviors to more complex personality traits such as emotional instability, inflexibility, extreme mistrust, or detachment.
Complications
Medical:
• Increased risk of injuries due to impulsive behaviors
• Poor adherence to medical advice or medication
• Stress-related physical issues like headaches, gastritis, or high blood pressure
Psychiatric:
